Kenny had a massive failure today. First, I didn't wake up to any music playing. Red flag. So I checked on the server and it had a blue screen of death. SHIIIT. So I thought maybe it was a microsoft update that owned it. I couldn't get into safe mode so I went into windows recovery. The C drive was inaccessible. SHIIT. I pulled the hard drive and attempted to get data off of it in another computer. The hard drive is on an audible clicking loop. The heads are effed.
SOOOO SHIIIIIT lol Japtrain got owned. I have a 1 month old backup on a 500GB storage hard drive in my computer, so the files should still be intact. I'm gonna buy a replacement 320GB from computer center to go in Kenny and hopefully I can have Japtrain up by tomorrow.
So, it doesn't really affect too much, but some things on SyntaxLAMP might be down. Some images on the forum might not display and some threads may be inaccessible.

OK so even more BS happened. It turns out the RAID controller for the hard drives went bad. Both harddrives are toast. So I bought a new 320GB to replace at least one for now. The RAID controller ruined the new hard drive. So now I have a new RAID controller and 1 new hard drive and another one on order.
I'm re-setting up Japtrain again. Gotta put firewall software/antivirus, remoting tools, FTP server, Apache, and Windows Media Encoder on today at some point.

And I'm thinking about just buying a new server for this...idk. but am definitely going to make sure there is a hard drive not on the RAID controller that does daily backups.

Japtrain.com. Well the DNS server isn't up yet, but you can access Japtrain at http://office.syntaxservers.net
It would supposed to be a network between havre people but it didn't work out so great that way. but it is still file sharing

Woot the name servers have been setup with Syntax Servers and now Japtrain.com is online with kenny.japtrain.com as the main server
